Starting salary of 25,392 FTE (actual salary approximately: 22,776 per annum)

The role:



Are you a well-qualified graduate looking to gain valuable experience in a boarding school environment? Royal High School Bath has an exciting opportunity for a Boarding Assistant to join our team on a fixed-term basis.

As a Boarding Assistant, you will support the day to day running of the boarding houses, assisting with administrative tasks, and contributing to the academic life of the school by encouraging and supporting students in their learning. You will also help organise, run, and staff our Weekend Programme.

This is a residential role, living in shared accommodation with up to three other graduates. Accommodation is based within a stunning listed building, set against the vibrant backdrop of Bath's UNESCO World Heritage Site. As part of the boarding community, you will be expected to work mornings, evenings, and weekends, although you will receive 24 hours off duty each week, along with additional time off when not on duty.

You will be a team player who is proactive, highly organised, and capable of using their own initiative. You will demonstrate a fair but firm approach, along with a genuine enthusiasm for working with young people. A strong commitment to the demands and rewards of working in a boarding school environment is also essential.
