Due to continued expansion, a well-established firm of chartered accountants is looking for a talented and motivated Bookkeeper to join its Peterborough office.

Role Responsibilities

Manage a portfolio of clients, delivering accurate weekly, monthly, and quarterly bookkeeping services. Process CIS returns and assist with payroll and auto-enrolment duties when required. Prepare and file VAT returns for a variety of clients across different sectors. Compile draft management accounts using templated reports and accounting software. Build strong client relationships and provide excellent ongoing support and communication.

Personal Requirements

Minimum 2 years' bookkeeping experience (ideally within an accountancy practice). Good working knowledge of VAT and general accounting principles. Experience using Xero and/or QuickBooks. AAT Level 3 qualification (or equivalent) preferred. Excellent time management and organisational skills, with the ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple workloads. Strong attention to detail and a proactive, client-focused approach. Full driving licence preferred.
