Job Description

The Bookkeeper will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, including managing accounts payable and receivable, reconciling bank statements, and processing payroll. The ideal candidate is highly organized, trustworthy, and experienced with bookkeeping software.

Key Responsibilities



Record day-to-day financial transactions and complete the posting process Verify that transactions are recorded in the correct ledgers Reconcile bank, credit card, and other financial statements Manage accounts payable and receivable Process payroll and assist with tax filings Prepare financial reports for management Maintain and organize financial documents and records Assist with budgeting and forecasting as needed

Qualifications



Proven bookkeeping experience (2+ years preferred) Proficiency in accounting software Strong knowledge of basic accounting principles Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to work independently and manage time effectively Strong written and verbal communication skills [Preferred: Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field]
Schedule: Monday to Friday

Birmingham: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
Work Location: One location

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From 39,000.00 per year
