Salary 21,000-24,000 PA (16ph - 18.50ph) depending on experience
We are looking for an experienced bookkeeper to join our team where the individual will report directly to the managing Director. The group is formed of 4 companies, being a bathroom showroom, a plumbing & heating business, an electrical services business, and a rental property business. The candidate will be responsible for the bookkeeping of all 4 businesses.
Part-time bookkeeper & administrator needed to ensure company records are maintained accurately and efficiently.
The ideal candidate will have great attention to detail, with at least 3 years bookkeeping experience, and have experience and understanding of working in the CIS construction industry.
Day to day accounting operations such as data entry of purchase invoices, data entry of bank transactions, and raising sales invoices
Handling incoming emails
Dealing with subcontractors' invoices and payments
Assisting with CIS submissions and reconciliations
Handling supplier invoices
Making bank payments for all supplier invoices, staff wages, HMRC payments etc
Providing administrative and clerical support as needed
Additional bookkeeping duties as designated by management
Essential Requirements
Proven experience in an accounting role within the construction industry
Strong knowledge of UK accounting standards
Strong knowledge of VAT and CIS
Experience using Sage 50 accounts is essential for this role
Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
AAT qualified / part qualified preferred
