To assist the Practice Accountant with both the internal financial systems of Community VISION CIO and bookkeeping for clients.
Using your knowledge and skills you will work within a team to provide bookkeeping for clients and ensure the smooth running of the service both internally and externally to ensure the service is delivered to a high standard.
Therefore, we require a suitably qualified and experienced person to take this project forward.
Main Duties for Community VISION
- Processing of financial transactions onto the QuickBooks software
This will include inputting:
Supplier Invoices
Sales Invoices
Bank Transactions
Employee Expenses
Budgets
Bank Reconciliations
- Dealing with day to day running of the finance office.
This will involve:
Banking
Check pay reports for payment processing
Petty Cash
Issuing sales invoices
Collating and interpreting information, liaising with staff and other outside agencies to ensure all income and expenditure for Community VISION CIO is accounted for accurately and timely
Maintaining and implementing financial controls within the finance office
Speaking to suppliers and customers where necessary including credit control.
Filing of paperwork
Main Duties for Phoenix Accountancy and Payroll Services.
- Phoenix Accountancy:
Act as point of contact for Phoenix Accountancy enquiries
Maintain and co-ordinate client bookings for the Practice Accountant
Maintain anti-money laundering and due diligence records
Support the Practice Accountant in administrative tasks
Provide bookkeeping services to clients - using accountancy systems, excel or manual as required by the group
Carry out bank reconciliations
Prepare basic receipts and payments accounts from the books and records (both manual and computerised records) for review by the Practice Accountant
- Community Payroll:
oTo provide cover with payroll processing as required.
- Other general duties will include:
To ensure that members of the Phoenix Accountancy Business and Consultancy team and the Community VISION team are kept adequately informed of your work and that information is provided as requested by your line manager.
To act as a contact point for Community Accountancy Service enquiries and answering the switchboard as required.
To participate in planning and team building activities within Phoenix Accountancy Business and Consultancy and Community VISION and to contribute to the core operation and development of the organisation
To take part in supervision / appraisal meetings as agreed in line with internal policies.
To undertake in-service training as appropriate
Comply with organisational policies and respect confidentiality of all information acquired through working at both Phoenix Accountancy Business and Consultancy and Community VISION within the framework of the confidentiality policy and follow the Data Protection and Money Laundering regulations.
To work in a self-servicing capacity
To keep professionally informed on developments in accounts and appropriate voluntary sector issues and undertake appropriate training
To undertake such other duties as are commensurate to the nature of this work and level of responsibility.
