Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have experience in a kitchen or restaurant environment and possess a strong understanding of food preparation and safety standards. As a Cook, you will play a vital role in meal preparation, ensuring that each dish is prepared to the highest quality and served promptly.

The job role will entail working 5 Days per week, 4 Hours per day (08:00am-12:00pm) including alternate weekends off.

Duties

Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and menus. Ensure all food is prepared in accordance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards. Assist in the planning of menus and portion sizes, taking into account dietary requirements and preferences. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including equipment and utensils. Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure efficient service during busy periods. Monitor stock levels and assist with inventory management, including ordering supplies as needed. Help train new kitchen staff in food preparation techniques and safety practices.

Skills

Proven experience in a kitchen or restaurant setting, with strong culinary skills. Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices for meal preparation. Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail. Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Strong communication skills, enabling effective collaboration with team members. A genuine passion for cooking and helping others enjoy quality meals.
