Summary



As our Breakfast/Catering Manager, you'll be the heart of our morning operation, ensuring every guest starts their day perfectly. You'll lead our breakfast team in delivering exceptional service whilst maximising revenue and guest satisfaction. This role is ideal for someone passionate about hospitality, local produce, and creating memorable experiences.

Key Schedule:

Flexible scheduling across 5 days per week including weekends (average 5-6 hours per day)

Responsibilities



Guest Experience & Service Excellence

Deliver outstanding customer service that exceeds guest expectations

Team Leadership & Management



Recruit, train, and manage breakfast team members Create staff schedules and manage payroll administration Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing development Foster a positive team environment aligned with our company values

Food Safety & Quality Standards



Maintain our 5-star Food Hygiene Rating through strict adherence to standards Ensure all team members comply with food safety regulations Conduct regular quality checks on food presentation and service Manage stock rotation and wastage minimisation

Operations Management



Set up and maintain our breakfast buffet to the highest standards Prepare fresh food items including fruit salads and hot breakfast options Monitor stock levels and coordinate with suppliers, prioritising local produce Manage equipment maintenance and dining area cleanliness Coordinate catering requirements for conferences and events

Sustainability & Local Sourcing



Champion our commitment to local suppliers (Stewart's sausages, Maguire's eggs, Live a Little Granola, Erin Grove Preserves) Support our sustainability initiatives and waste reduction programmes Educate guests about our local produce partnerships

Administrative Duties



Maintain accurate records of stock, sales, and staff performance Contribute to internal audits and continuous improvement initiatives Assist with menu development and seasonal offerings Support other departments as required Greet guests warmly and ensure they understand our breakfast offerings Monitor the dining area, addressing any guest needs or concerns immediately Ensure our breakfast operation reflects our award-winning reputation

Requirements



Essential Requirements

Experience:

Minimum 2 years in food service or hospitality environment

Desirable Requirements



Food Safety/Hygiene qualification (Level 2 minimum) Previous supervisory or management experience in hospitality Knowledge of local Northern Ireland suppliers and produce Understanding of sustainability practices in hospitality Experience with stock management systems

Good level of secondary education with strong literacy and numeracy skills
