We are seeking a talented and passionate Chef to join our culinary team for a new opening in Burton-in-Kendal. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in food production and preparation, with a flair for creativity and a commitment to delivering exceptional dining experiences. As a Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing kitchen operations, and ensuring that all dishes meet our high standards of quality and presentation.

Duties

Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient operations. Oversee food production processes, ensuring adherence to recipes and presentation standards. Manage team dynamics, fostering a positive work environment that encourages collaboration and creativity. Prepare and cook a variety of dishes, showcasing culinary skills and innovation. Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene in accordance with health regulations. Collaborate with the front-of-house team to ensure seamless service delivery. Monitor inventory levels and assist in ordering supplies as needed. Train new kitchen staff on cooking techniques, safety protocols, and restaurant policies.

Requirements

Proven experience in a similar role within the hospitality or restaurant industry. Strong culinary skills with extensive knowledge of food preparation techniques. Supervising experience is essential; team management skills are highly valued. Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices is required. Excellent leadership abilities to inspire and motivate kitchen staff. Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
