Responsibilities

Prepare high quality sandwiches and breakfast items in accordance with the restaurant's menu and standards. Ensure all food is prepared in a timely manner while maintaining high standards of food safety and hygiene. Assist in menu planning and development, including seasonal specials and promotional items. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations during service periods. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including equipment and utensils. Monitor stock levels of ingredients and supplies, placing orders as necessary to ensure availability. Train and mentor junior kitchen staff in food preparation techniques and safety practices.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Chef or in a similar role within a restaurant environment. Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, food preparation methods, and food safety regulations. Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively. Basic maths skills for inventory management and portion control. Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining attention to detail. A passion for cooking with creativity in developing new dishes. Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members.

Pay: From 13.51 per hour
