We are currently seeking a dedicated, enthusiastic and flexible individual to join our team as a Business Coordinator Work within the new Trailblazer Project.
The Trailblazer Programme is an ambitious, multi-agency initiative led by Neath Port Talbot Council to reduce economic inactivity and improve wellbeing across our communities. We're currently delivering innovative projects in our Opportunity Hubs and outreach locations, working alongside health professionals, training providers, and employers to help people overcome complex barriers to work. From supporting residents with mental health and long-term health conditions, to tackling digital exclusion, housing instability, and low confidence, we're at the forefront of creating tailored, life-changing solutions that make a genuine difference in people's lives.
As a Business Coordinator you will:
Lead employer engagement activity across Neath Port Talbot, creating inclusive and sustainable employment pathways
Work strategically with employers, partners, and industry leaders to co-produce opportunities for individuals facing significant barriers
Oversee the delivery of employment aspects of the Trailblazer programme, ensuring alignment with local labour market priorities
Support businesses to embed inclusive recruitment and workplace practices, including reasonable adjustments
Provide leadership to the team, ensuring employer engagement activity is consistent, impactful, and outcome-focused
Your daily routine will to:
Develop and maintain strategic relationships with employers and partners
Coordinate employer engagement activity, toolkits, and inclusive recruitment resources
Monitor and evaluate project performance, using data to inform improvements
Support the team in aligning employment activity with regional economic needs
Represent NPT at external events, forums, and partnership meetings.
Provide line management and mentoring support to staff
About you:
Do you have:
Substantial experience in employment-related programmes and employer engagement?
A strong track record in project management and partnership working?
Knowledge of the Equality Act 2010 and inclusive employment practices?
Experience of policy/strategy development and implementation?
Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills?
A degree in Business Management, Economic Development, Public Administration, or a relevant field?

Economic Development or Regeneration Officer
Project or Programme Manager in employability/skills
Partnership or Policy Development Officer
Business Manager or Coordinator in public or third sector programmes
