Job Overview


As a Business Development Co-ordinator at Alchimica Building Chemicals Ltd, you will play a key role in supporting the expansion of our market presence by coordinating sales initiatives, nurturing client relationships, and assisting in the execution of strategic business development plans. Operating within the dynamic construction chemicals sector, you will liaise closely with both internal teams and external parties to identify growth opportunities, ensure seamless project delivery, and reinforce Alchimica's reputation for innovative and high-performance waterproofing and building solutions. You will also be required to utilise existing and new contracts to identify projects that Alchimica can supply specifications to/identify tender opportunities for the supply of Alchimica Products.

Key Responsibilities



Assist in identifying and qualifying new business opportunities in target markets (construction, engineering, architecture). Coordinate client meetings, presentations, and product demonstrations in collaboration with technical and sales teams. Maintain and update CRM systems with client data, sales activity, and pipeline progress. Support the preparation of tenders, proposals, and marketing materials aligned with Alchimica's brand standards. Conduct market research and competitor analysis to inform strategy and product positioning. Foster relationships with distributors, contractors, and specifiers to expand the customer base. Monitor project progress, ensuring timely delivery of materials and client satisfaction. Provide administrative and logistical support for trade shows, exhibitions, and promotional events. Map key stakeholder ecosystems and decision-making structures for specification into public and private sector projects. Pursue opportunities for CPD presentations that align with construction industry training requirements. Cultivate alliances with national and regional contractors, merchant groups, and developer networks. Represent Alchimica within industry groups, framework consortia, and construction networks to enhance brand visibility and trust. Support distributor development through structured onboarding, technical training, and territory expansion plans. Guide the development of content, digital strategy, and communications that support specification entry. Use data and strategic theory to track performance, assess market positioning, and refine expansion plans. Monitor policy, funding, and compliance trends that impact waterproofing and construction procurement, advising leadership accordingly.

Key Skills & Qualifications



Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Construction Management, or a related field. Prior experience in a business development, sales support, or coordination role--ideally within the construction or chemical industry. Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. Proficiency with MS Office and CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot). Ability to multitask, manage deadlines, and adapt in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of construction processes and familiarity with building materials is an advantage. Full UK driving licence is essential. Willingness and flexibility to travel occasionally across the UK and attend industry events or client sites as required.

Please note, there will be a requirement to travel to our offices in Whitland (SA34 0HN) for the first 3 months for training

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 28,000.00-30,000.00 per year
