Business Development Executive - Apprenticeships and Training


Location:

Home based with travel across Birmingham/West Mids region, attendance in office required twice a month.

Salary:

30,000-35,000

Key Responsibilities



Develop and nurture effective relationships with both employers and candidates, leveraging the local business landscape to launch and grow careers in tech and digital sectors across the region. Consistently build and manage a strong pipeline of employer prospects, successfully converting a targeted number into active apprenticeship vacancies. Represent the organisation at industry events and networking functions to cultivate employer connections and generate new business leads. Secure employer commitments to support apprenticeships for new hires, upskill current employees, or participate in other programmes such as Skills Bootcamps. Proactively engage in outbound business development through phone calls, LinkedIn, email, and face-to-face networking to identify and establish new employer partnerships. Collaborate closely with the employer engagement team to match suitable candidates with available apprenticeship opportunities and coordinate interview processes. Interview prospective learners, offering unbiased information, advice, and guidance to assess their fit for various training programmes. Ensure that all required documentation, administrative processes, and systems are completed accurately and to a high standard.

Essential Criteria



Proven experience in building and managing relationships with local businesses (B2B Sales). Background in the Apprenticeship or work-based learning sector. A strong passion for supporting and developing connections with employers, learners, and key stakeholders. Exceptional organisational skills with a keen eye for detail. Comfortable and experienced in attending professional networking events. Ability to work flexibly in response to evolving legislation, manage multiple tasks, and confidently use various systems.

Pay: 24,420.00-48,616.28 per year
