Utilise the local employer market to start and develop tech and digital careers for people in the region.

Purpose of Role:



Exceed KPI targets by ensuring continuous building and maintenance of a sizeable employer opportunities pipeline and converting the required number of employer opportunities to employer vacancies for TDM apprenticeships.

As a Business Development Executive, you will play a pivotal role in expanding apprenticeship provision by identifying and securing new employer partnerships who are wanting to recruit a new apprentice. You will be responsible for driving growth across the Tech and Digital sectors and supporting individuals to start their Tech and Digital careers. You will be responsible for ensuring that apprenticeship opportunities are effectively matched to employer needs and learner aspirations.

Please note, as this role will involve field-based work (attending networking events and employer meetings), a full driving licence and access to a vehicle is essential.

Core Responsibilities (Right Seat):



Attend relevant networking events to generate leads and build relationships with employers. Effectively demonstrate TDM's value proposition to potential partners and secure a formal commitment from an employer to deliver an apprenticeship to a new recruit, reskill an existing employee, or to engage with other TDM coaching programmes, such as Skills Bootcamps. Proactively identify and engage new employer clients to promote apprenticeship programmes. Achieve as a minimum, the monthly targets for apprenticeship placements as set by the business. Generate new business through effective telephone, marketing and customer engagement activities by ensuring the company's minimum standards are matched and exceeded. Arrange apprenticeship interviews with both the employer and learner, working closely with the candidate engagement Resourcers. Maintain sales plans and pipelines relevant to each opportunity. Provide information, advice and guidance to employer organisations on apprenticeship funding rules and compliance. Proactively work with TDM's talent pool, speculatively approaching employers by engaging in outbound prospecting activities via telephone, LinkedIn, email or networking opportunities to open up new opportunities with employer organisations. Build and maintain strong relationships with employers and candidates. Ensure high-quality candidates are placed quickly, always supporting both the candidate and employer. Compellingly present a range of TDM services in public/online presentations. Ensure quality and accuracy in the completion of required documentation, processes and systems. Ensure all employer documentation is completed accurately and in line with the DFE funding rules and guidance. Any other duties as directed by your line manager and/or a Director. Compliance with all TDM policies, procedures and legal responsibilities, including ISO9001 and Cyber Essentials.

Ideal Candidate:



Required:

Experience building relationships with local businesses. Experience working within the apprenticeship sector. A history of converting prospects into sign-ups. A history of B2B sales experience. Experience attending networking events. An individual who has a passion for working with and fostering relationships with employers, stakeholders and learners. Excellent organisation and attention to detail skills. General IT Skills (Excel, Word, updating a CRM system etc). The ability to deliver against TDM values and communicate with individuals from various backgrounds. The ability to adapt to changing legislation, multi-task and use a variety of systems as required.
