Location: UK - FLEXIBLE (OUR CURRENT UK OFFICE LOCATIONS ARE LONDON, BRISTOL, AND GLASGOW)



We have an exciting opportunity for a

Business Development Executive

to join our Marketing & Business Development team. This is a varied and hands-on role, ideal for someone who is comfortable with managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. The role will support the Firm's two specialist sectors - construction and insurance - and will involve contributing to the firm's BD efforts across all six offices globally. Working closely with colleagues, fee earners, and partners in all locations, you'll provide a diverse range of business development and marketing support.

Our teams handle complex international arbitration; professional indemnity disputes; coverage; claims handling; corporate and commercial and contracts and projects advisory matters, with an emphasis on finding the best possible legal and commercial solutions to meet our clients' needs.

Beale & Co's business development team includes the Head of Business Development, two Senior Business Development Executives, the Events Executive, CRM Analyst and a Business Development Administrator.

Key Responsibilities



New business



Support the Head of BD and Senior BD Executive's in executing the business development plans and targeted BD campaigns for the construction and insurance sector groups. Prepare tailored pitch proposals, RFPs, capability statements and pitch presentations for prospective and existing clients. Help identify opportunities to develop new business or cross-sell services. Support the management and growth of key client relationships.

Research and planning



Assist with developing group meeting agendas and preparing and circulating meeting summaries. Undertake research into clients, prospects, sectors and opportunities to support with events, business trips, and client / target meetings.

General business development



Develop and update marketing collateral, including brochures, experience sheets, team sheets and fee earner CVs for use in pitches and on the website. Manage and maintain the firm's collection of credentials and information for use in capability documents and pitches. Assist the Senior BD Executives in promoting the firm's construction and insurance capabilities through partnerships, sponsorships, and industry association activity. Work as appropriate with the firm's external design team. Support the legal directories process, working as appropriate with the firm's external legal directories consultant and fee earners and Partners. Assist with drafting and submitting award entries. Support the firm's CRM system Nexl, including assisting with list management for campaigns, maintaining and updating the sector group workspaces and supporting the fee earners in using the system.

Key Requirements



This role is a new position set within a busy, hard-working, dynamic and ambitious BD team. We are looking for a candidate who has:

Experience working in a professional services environment (law firm experience preferred). Excellent communication skills - both written and oral High attention to detail and strong client focus A proactive approach, able to take the initiative, drive process and make things happen Enthusiasm to develop an understanding of the construction and insurance sectors Excellent interpersonal and influencing skills Ability to work to deadlines, juggle multiple projects, prioritise and deliver under pressure
Experience in using Microsoft Office, Teams and social media platforms and knowledge of website CMS and CRM systems.
