About us



Voltempo is developing our DC HyperCharger MCS (Megawatt Charging System) solutions for a range of commercial vehicle sectors, initially here in the UK, but progressively internationally as the transport sector electrifies. The company holds several international patents, it is engaged in the end-to-end design, supply, grid connection, site commissioning and servicing of charging solutions, targeting commercial vehicles. The business is currently scaling and is well supported by both its domestic and international shareholders and its role under the UK Government eFreight2030 programme (www.efreight2030.com), where it is leads a consortium of UK logistics fleet operators, truck OEMs and other partners, to deploy the UK's first eHGV depot charging network.

About the Role



Voltempo are actively engaged with fleet operators and their customers across retail and manufacturing, which we'd like to further grow, whilst also expanding our reach into new sectors requiring charging solutions and services. This role will lead our business development efforts to open new market sectors for Voltempo for vehicle electrification charging and our end-to-end services, whilst supporting growth in the UK logistics area. New sectors could include both public and private opportunities, such as: local authority vehicles (e.g. refuse collection), buses, coaches, construction, emergency services, marine, defence etc. You will be focused on identifying, prioritising and developing the go-to-market plan, to then generating new business opportunities directly with agreed targeted sectors and relevant organisations deploying EV charging for commercial vehicles.

You will be a player in a fast-paced, start-up environment, fostering collaboration across diverse sectors to drive growth and expand our market presence. You will be supported by a specialist tendering function responsible for developing bespoke engineering proposals and support their contract execution, and as necessary providing competitor and market intel to support Product Management's development of new EV solutions.

Responsibilities:



Identifying, prioritising and implementing go to market plan to win new business in new market sectors. Pursuing new business opportunities within both new market sectors and logistics areas, seeking to deploy EV charging solutions within their facilities/depots and distribution routes. Developing and executing a comprehensive business development strategy to achieve revenue targets and market penetration goals. Preparing and delivering high quality presentations, engaging pitches and scoping meetings with prospecting clients as you articulate the value of our EV charging solutions and end-to-end services. Prepare and present regular sales reports, providing insights into business development activities, market trends, and performance metrics.

Skills and capabilities:



Proven experience in a sales / business development position, preferably within a start-up environment selling engineered solutions Strong knowledge within EV and/or charging infrastructure sales, and ideally experience selling to logistics or other non-passenger car businesses Ability to think strategically with a track record of successfully identifying and closing new business, ideally with enterprise clients Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, managing multiple priorities effectively Excellent analytical skills with a data-driven approach to decision making Excellent written communication and presentation skills Proactivity - you will continually push for more and suggest and implement processes and ways of working to be better Alignment to our vision, mission, and values1

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: 50,000.00-60,000.00 per year
