Role Purpose & Strategic Impact:



The Business Development Manager is a pivotal role at Unmatched, directly responsible for driving new client acquisition, expanding our market share within the B2B sector, and significantly contributing to the agency's revenue growth targets. This individual will be instrumental in building a robust and sustainable sales pipeline populated with ideal-fit clients, particularly those who can derive maximum value from Unmatched's core service offerings and specialised HubSpot expertise. The success of this role is critical to Unmatched's ambition to scale and solidify its position as a leading HubSpot Diamond Partner.

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities:



Develop and execute a strategic sales plan, alongside the Managing Director, to achieve ambitious sales targets and expand Unmatched's customer base within designated B2B sectors. Proactively identify, qualify, and nurture new business opportunities through a multi-channel approach including targeted prospecting, professional networking, and industry events. Conduct thorough discovery calls and meetings with prospective clients to gain a deep understanding of their business challenges, strategic objectives, operational pain points, and specific needs, particularly concerning their marketing, sales, RevOps, and HubSpot platform utilisation. Conceptualize, develop, and deliver compelling, tailored sales presentations and proposals that clearly articulate Unmatched's unique value proposition and how our solutions address prospect needs and deliver measurable ROI. Manage the end-to-end sales cycle with diligence and professionalism, from initial contact and qualification through to solution development, proposal presentation, contract negotiation, and successful close, ensuring a seamless and positive handover to the client services/delivery team. Build and maintain strong, long-lasting client relationships, positioning oneself and Unmatched as a trusted advisor and strategic partner. Effectively and consistently utilise the company CRM (HubSpot, obviously!) to manage sales pipeline, track all sales activities, maintain accurate prospect and client data, and provide reliable sales forecasting. Collaborate closely with internal marketing, technical, and service delivery teams to ensure proposed solutions are well-defined, viable, aligned with client expectations, and deliverable to a high standard. Maintain a keen awareness of industry trends, emerging technologies, competitor activities, and market developments, particularly within digital marketing, RevOps, and the evolving HubSpot ecosystem. Actively drive the adoption, sale, and strategic integration of HubSpot solutions (Marketing Hub, Sales Hub, Service Hub, Operations Hub, CMS Hub) as part of comprehensive client strategies, effectively leveraging the benefits and resources of the HubSpot Partner Program. Represent Unmatched professionally and effectively at industry events, conferences, webinars, and networking functions to enhance brand visibility and generate leads.

Essential Skills, Experience & Qualifications:



A minimum of 3-5 years of proven success in a B2B Business Development Manager role, with a strong preference for experience within a digital marketing agency, SaaS company, or RevOps consultancy. Demonstrable experience and a strong track record in selling HubSpot software solutions and related implementation/optimization services. A deep understanding of the full HubSpot platform (Marketing Hub, Sales Hub, Service Hub, Operations Hub, CMS Hub) is essential. Experience working for a registered HubSpot Solutions Partner is highly advantageous and strongly preferred. Experience in other CRM or technical sales is desirable. A strong, practical understanding of Revenue Operations (RevOps) principles, Go-To-Market (GTM) strategies, sales process optimization, and how technology enables these. Proficiency in using CRM systems for sales pipeline management is mandatory. Exceptional communication, presentation, active listening, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and credibility with diverse stakeholders, including senior executives. Strong negotiation and closing skills, with a proven ability to manage complex sales cycles and overcome objections. A natural ability to understand complex client business needs and translate them into effective, value-driven solutions. A highly self-motivated, results-driven individual with a proactive and tenacious approach to generating new business and achieving targets. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and critically.

Desirable Attributes:



An existing network of relevant contacts within Unmatched's target B2B industries. Formal training or certification in specific sales methodologies (e.g., MEDDIC, Challenger Sale, Solution Selling). Familiarity with other marketing automation platforms, sales technologies, or business intelligence tools.

Compensation & Benefits Overview:



A competitive base salary, reflective of experience and market rates (detailed further in market analysis). An attractive, uncapped commission structure with significant On-Target Earnings (OTE) potential, designed to reward high performance (detailed in a separate commission plan).
