About SK tes:

As a global leader in sustainable technology lifecycle solutions, SK tes enables organizations to securely manage, recover, and repurpose IT assets, electronics, and batteries. Our reuse, recycling, and compliant disposition services drive operational and environmental value for enterprise clients globally, directly contributing to their ESG strategies and a circular economy.

Role Overview:

We're looking for a Business Development Manager to fuel the growth of our UK operations. In this vital commercial role, you'll utilize your technical expertise and client engagement skills to uncover and cultivate new business opportunities. This includes understanding client infrastructure and lifecycle complexities to propose strategic service solutions that advance their operational and sustainability aims. The ideal candidate will be commercially driven and possess a background in technical sales, IT services, electronics, or managed lifecycle solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

Technical Sales & Solution Development:

Proactively engage with prospective clients to thoroughly understand their IT asset management, decommissioning, and compliance requirements. Leverage your expertise to provide consultative sales support, recommending SK tes' comprehensive suite of services (ITAD, data destruction, reverse logistics, battery recycling, secure chain-of-custody) to deliver optimal solutions for prospective clients. Work in tandem with operations, compliance, and client solutions teams to jointly scope technical service delivery and formulate viable, efficient solutions for clients.
Business Development:

Drive new business growth by actively identifying and rigorously qualifying opportunities generated through outbound prospecting efforts, inbound lead management, and cultivation of industry network connections. This role involves engaging with a diverse range of stakeholders, including IT managers, procurement leads, facilities teams, and sustainability professionals. Develop and deliver compelling proposals, RFP responses, and commercial quotes, underpinned by a strong technical understanding of the proposed solutions.
Client Relationship & Support:

Provide expert technical guidance to clients as the key point of contact throughout the pre-sales and onboarding stages. Take ownership of the client handover process to service delivery, guaranteeing that all technical requirements are accurately understood and comprehensively documented. Maintain strong post-sale relationships with clients to uncover growth potential and ensure sustained value delivery.
Market Intelligence & Strategy:

Maintain a strong understanding of the latest developments in ITAD, circular IT, battery recycling, and sustainability frameworks to effectively support client needs and drive business growth. Proactively provide input on product and service enhancements, driven by a deep understanding of client feedback and evolving market demands. Actively represent SK tes at client meetings, industry events, and relevant technical forums.
Requirements:

A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in technical sales, business development, or solution consulting, with preference given to candidates with experience in IT services, hardware, electronics, managed services, or recycling. Proven understanding of IT infrastructure, lifecycle management, and compliance requirements, with the ability to apply this knowledge to client solutions. Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex services into client-ready solutions. Strong skills in RFP analysis, proposal development, and leading technical client presentations and discussions. Demonstrated ability to independently manage a sales pipeline, prioritize tasks, and drive deals to successful completion. A strong passion for sustainability, the circular economy, or green technology is highly desirable.
