The Business Development Manager (BDM), will be responsible for generating new business within the UK healthcare sector, primarily on behalf of group entities PRIDE Pharmacy Ltd and Derby Health Staffing Ltd. The BDM will be expected to develop strategic partnerships and expand relationships with key decision-makers such as NHS procurement teams, Integrated Care Systems, healthcare group directors and Procurement Frameworks. You will take a consultative sales development approach, ensuring solutions are fully aligned with regulatory standards and client needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Identify and pursue new business opportunities within NHS trusts, care groups, and healthcare service providers.
Build and maintain a robust sales pipeline, targeting decision-makers and influencers in procurement, operations, and clinical leadership roles.
Manage and develop existing contracts, identifying growth opportunities and ensuring customer needs are met
Conduct market analysis to identify trends, funding opportunities, and emerging service needs in the healthcare sector.
Develop and deliver compelling proposals, tenders, and presentations that meet sector compliance and procurement requirements.
Attend healthcare sector events, conferences, and networking forums to raise brand awareness.
Maintain strong working knowledge of NHS frameworks, procurement processes, and relevant healthcare regulations.
Collaborate with service delivery teams to ensure smooth onboarding and ongoing client satisfaction.
Consistently meet objectives, KPIs, and profitability goals.

The following experience and skills are required;
Essential
Customer service experience in corporate background
Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills at senior stakeholder level.
Ability to work independently with a self-motivated, results-driven approach.
Proven track record in developing business opportunities.
Proven Track record of delivering projects within timeline and scope
Proficiency Microsoft Office Suite as well as a good general IT knowledge.
Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel nationally.
Desired
Understanding of NHS procurement frameworks, tender processes, and sector-specific compliance.
Existing network of healthcare sector contacts (NHS, private healthcare, care providers).
Working understanding of taxation; mainly VAT and National Insurance.
Experience of working in a group structure with parent company oversight.
