Overview

We're a friendly medium size contractor who provide turnkey services (M, E, Fabric and Fire) in the FM & Construction sector, currently seeking to recruit an established Business Development Manager throughout the Southwest region to join our new Exeter office.

This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference to future business growth and success whilst also an excellent opportunity for future personal growth. As part of this role, you're be working directly with our SMT as well as working alongside an excellent team with strong core values. We are looking for a candidate who has a proven track record in building and maintaining positive relationships, ideally with experience of our sector.

Key Responsibilities

Identify market opportunities which align with our business objectives. Represent the business in the geographical area/sector and attend surveys. Manage and attend industry and networking events. Work alongside SMT and all business based staff. Grow a strong client base and supply chain. Identify and build key account customers. Build and maintain a strong pipeline. Work with the business on marketing content to support business development functions. Develop and implement forward-thinking sales strategies to drive profitable growth. Support product development by gathering customer feedback and market intelligence. Work with the business to continually improve business infrastructure.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Business Development Manager or a comparable role such as Key Account Manager. Ability to develop long term customer relationships to create growth opportunities. Strong understanding of construction processes, methods, and materials. Proficiency in using Microsoft 365 applications such as word and excel. Excellent numerical, analytical, and negotiation skills. Strong verbal and written communication abilities. Confident of presenting our services. Able to work on own initiative and as part of a team. Full UK Driving Licence.

Desirable

Technical experience/ background. Experience of Security cleared sites Familiar with portals.

Pay: 50,000.00-65,000.00 per year
