SWS UK, a leading manufacturer of high-quality shutters and garage doors, is seeking a proactive and results-focused
Business Development Manager
to join our team at our Lancaster head office.
In this dynamic, predominantly office-based role, you'll be at the heart of our growth strategy--making outbound calls, sending targeted follow-up emails and uncovering new business across new, lapsed and existing trade customers.
This is a hands-on sales role where your ability to build strong relationships, identify opportunities and turn conversations into revenue will directly contribute to our continued success.
Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities
Make outbound sales calls to new prospects, lapsed accounts and existing customers to identify sales opportunities.
Send personalised email follow-ups to support ongoing conversations and campaigns.
Identify and develop new opportunities, especially where customers are purchasing competitor or alternative branded products.
Reactivate lapsed customers and explore fresh needs with existing clients.
Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers.
Research and qualify potential leads to build a strong sales pipeline.
Maintain accurate records of all contact activity, opportunities, and outcomes in the company CRM system.
Collaborate closely with internal teams including Sales, Marketing and Account Management.
Work to and exceed individual sales targets and contribute to team goals.
To be successful in this role you'll have:
Experience in working with branded or manufactured products.
Familiarity with customer reactivation strategies or targeting lapsed accounts.
The Person
Proven experience in business development, outbound sales, telesales or a similar B2B role.
Confident and engaging communicator over the phone and via email.
Ability to build rapport quickly and identify customer needs.
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
Self-motivated, target-driven, and results-oriented.
Experience with CRM systems and general sales processes.
