We are seeking a driven and results-focused Business Development Manager to join our Sales team. Reporting to the Commercial Director, you will be responsible for prospecting and procuring new customers within the Personal Injury, Industrial Disease, Military, and Housing Condition sectors.
This is a challenging and rewarding role aimed at meeting ambitious customer acquisition and growth targets, while fostering genuine, long-term relationships built on honesty, integrity, and transparency.
Key Responsibilities
Identify and qualify new business opportunities through research and industry analysis.
Target and develop relationships with legal (solicitors), insurance (insurers/brokers), and claims management markets.
Build and maintain prospect lists aligned with individual growth targets.
Research and evaluate new and emerging market opportunities.
Tailor service offerings to meet the unique needs of each customer.
Build and maintain strong, long-term customer partnerships.
Conduct nationwide meetings and presentations with prospective accounts.
Consistently meet and exceed new business and growth targets.
Complete due diligence to ensure all customers hold relevant registrations and accreditations.
Maintain CRM systems (e.g., Pipeliner) and produce accurate reports.
Attend industry events and conferences to generate new business and raise company profile.

Key Skills & Attributes
Previous experience in the personal injury sector or related areas (essential).
Proven track record in business development or sales.
Strong negotiation skills and commercial awareness.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build rapport quickly.
Highly motivated, organised, and proactive, with a keen eye for detail.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and CRM systems.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet strict deadlines.
Comfortable working independently and as part of a team.
Full UK driving licence (essential).
Education & Experience
Education: Bachelor's degree (preferred).
Experience: Significant business development or sales experience in a related sector.
