Job Description

Direct Medicare Ltd provides comprehensive ultrasound and general diagnostic services to referring physicians across the UK. As an accredited ultrasound provider commissioned by the NHS, we partner with GP practices and Integrated Care Boards (ICBs) to deliver timely, accurate imaging using the latest technology - covering everything from abdominal and kidney assessments to musculoskeletal and vascular scans

Position: Marketing & Business Development Executive



Location: West Yorkshire (covering West Yorkshire ICB area: Dewsbury, Todmorden, Halifax, Huddersfield, Bradford, Wakefield)

Hours: Full?time (37.5 hours/week)

Reporting to: Head of Business Development

Role Overview



We are seeking a proactive Marketing & Business Development Executive to drive the growth of our ultrasound services within the West Yorkshire region. You will be the primary liaison with GP surgeries, Primary Care Networks, care homes, and NHS commissioners, raising awareness of Direct Medicare's capabilities and identifying new referral pathways.

Key Responsibilities



Strategic Marketing & Campaigns

Develop and deliver targeted marketing plans (digital, print, events) to promote ultrasound services to both B2B (GPs, care homes, hospital trusts) and B2C audiences.
Manage social media channels, email newsletters, website updates and collateral design to maximize reach and engagement.

Business Development & Stakeholder Engagement

Identify and pursue new business opportunities, building relationships with key decision?makers across primary and secondary care.
Arrange and host GP open days, clinical stakeholder events, and community outreach initiatives to showcase our diagnostic capabilities.

Market & Competitor Analysis

Conduct regular analysis of local healthcare market trends, referral patterns, and competitor offerings to inform strategic priorities.
Prepare management reports and ROI analyses to demonstrate campaign effectiveness and support ongoing investment.

Partnership Management

Act as the commercial lead on NHS ICB contracts, ensuring alignment with local commissioning strategies and Service Level Agreements.
Coordinate with Clinical Operations to streamline referral pathways and ensure seamless patient experience.

Qualifications & Skills



Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Healthcare Management or related field
Minimum 2-3 years' experience in healthcare marketing or business development (preferably within diagnostics or private healthcare) Strong understanding of NHS structures (ICBs, PCNs) and primary care referral processes
Excellent verbal and written communication, presentation and negotiation skills
Proficiency with digital marketing tools and Microsoft Office
Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across West Yorkshire
