Formed in 2016, Float is the leading 3D architectural visualisation studio in Scotland. Our award-winning team has almost 100 years of combined experience in helping our clients' projects move forward with clarity and confidence.

As we continue to expand our business, we are actively growing our team and are on the hunt for a Business Development Manager to join our new Manchester studio.

About you



You'll be a strategic thinking self-starter, ready to hit the ground running to identify new opportunities, grow client relationships and drive revenue. You'll be a confident communicator and lead the sales process in Manchester, negotiate contracts and expand Float's market presence. You'll report to our Glasgow-based Client Director and work closely with them and our MD to create strategic sales plans as well as feeding into marketing plans.

Your role will also include:



Identifying and developing new business opportunities in our existing and new markets Delivering compelling presentations tailored to our clients Building and maintaining strong client relationships and a healthy pipeline through proactive outreach, networking and referrals Consult with prospects to understand clients' pain points and propose value-driven solutions Collaborating with the Float team to support growth, marketing and product development Attending industry events and networking functions Monitoring performance and reporting key metrics Closing deals in line with targets and supporting smooth client onboarding Acting as an ambassador for Float and uphold our core values of curiosity, integrity, collaboration and innovation

Required Skills & Experience



3+ years professional experience in business development, preferably in the architectural visualisation, development or architecture fields Proven track record in sales and client growth Strong negotiation, commercial and communication skills Proactive, results-driven and highly organised Excellent verbal and written communication in fluent English Comfortable in client?facing meetings and reviews

Working At Float



Our team sets a very high bar for quality and our clients include global household names as well as UK developers and builders. You'll be working with the best, so it's important for you to embed yourself in the team, fully understand what we do and how we do it at Float and evangelise for it to our existing and prospective clients!

Our studio typically runs Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm and you'll be working from there for the majority of the time, so you must be able to reliably commute to central Manchester. You'll receive a generous annual leave allowance and opportunities to develop your skills as well as further your career.

Eligibility



To be eligible to be considered for this role, you must live within commuting distance of central Manchester and meet the required skills and experience outlined above. We are not looking to hire remote workers at this time - this is an in-person role.

Float will not sponsor visas or assist with relocation and we are not looking to engage with recruitment agencies at this time.
