We are seeking a highly experienced and commercially connected
Business Development Manager (BDM)
to lead growth in our
commercial solar division.
This is not an entry-level role, and we are specifically looking for someone who brings established relationships within the commercial solar PV sector and a proven track record of closing high-value deals.

Responsibilities of the Role:
Leverage Existing Industry Relationships
: Use your network to identify and convert high-potential opportunities across sectors such as leisure, logistics, manufacturing, and commercial property.
Deliver Revenue Growth:
Drive strategic expansion with an expectation of generating 1m+ in new business within the first year.
Client Engagement
: Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers, ensuring long-term partnerships and repeat business.
Proposal & Strategy Development:
Lead the creation of tailored proposals and sales strategies that align with client needs and business goals.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Work closely with internal teams to ensure seamless delivery and client satisfaction.
Industry Representation:
Represent the company at relevant events, conferences, and networking forums to enhance visibility and credibility.
Performance Reporting:
Track and report on business development metrics, providing insights to the leadership team.
About You:
Proven experience in selling commercial solar PV solutions, with a deep understanding of the UK renewable energy market.
A strong existing network of industry contacts and decision-makers in relevant sectors.
Degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Advanced negotiation, CRM proficiency, sales funnel management, and financial acumen.
What You Need:
Experience in a BDM role within the commercial solar PV sector.
Demonstrated success in closing large-scale solar deals and achieving/exceeding revenue targets.
Experience navigating complex sales cycles and stakeholder environments.
