At Hails Fulfilment, we are a dynamic and ambitious 3PL company based in Greater Manchester. We are poised for significant growth and are seeking a highly motivated 'hunter' to identify, engage, and secure new business on a national scale.
This is a pivotal role for a professional who thrives on autonomy while valuing a collaborative team environment. You will be empowered to build a nationwide sales pipeline using a combination of strategic digital outreach, phone-based prospecting, and targeted in-person visits to key clients and industry events.
The Role:
As our UK Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for:
Generating and developing a robust sales pipeline by actively prospecting for new business across the entire UK.
Building and nurturing strong, long-term relationships with prospective clients to understand their supply chain needs.
Working closely with our on-site operational and management teams to design and present tailored warehousing, fulfilment, and transport solutions.
Conducting both virtual and in-person client meetings, with the expectation to travel nationally for high-value opportunities.
Negotiating and closing profitable new business contracts to achieve and exceed your sales targets.
Maintaining a high level of activity in our CRM system and providing regular performance reports to senior management.
What We're Looking For:
A proven track record of success in a Business Development or Sales role within the 3PL, logistics, or freight forwarding industry.
Demonstrable experience in generating and closing new business on a national scale.
A "hunter" mentality with a passion for winning new contracts and building a significant client portfolio.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills (both in-person and virtually).
A high degree of autonomy and the ability to effectively manage your own time and travel schedule.
A valid UK driving license and a commutable distance to our Oldham office for
2-3 days a week
