Business Development Manager - International Freight Forwarding
Are you an experienced Senior Business Development Manager with a background within the International Logistics & Freight Forwarding sector?
We are after a proactive self-starter who is well connected within the freight forwarding industry with the ability to build, develop, and maintain strong working relationships with new and existing clients?
We are currently recruiting for an International Sales Manager to generate new business revenue opportunities.
At 2mv Logistics Ltd we are a well-established Freight Forwarder and distribution company that is family run, and are looking to continue our growth with the acquisition of a Business Development Manager focusing on Multi Modal freight services (Sea, Air & Road freight)
We are based in Portsmouth, have storage facilities, our own HGV fleet and are members of two leading pallet networks. Our impressive international team not only book, manage and monitor shipments, they also complete necessary documentation & Customs entries in house.
The role will require the management of an active sales pipeline focusing on opportunities across the South of the UK and further afield.
You will be required to identify, develop and secure new opportunities focused on the Air, Sea & European Road Freight markets.
To Work closely with our operations team. Create, design and implement new ways of selling and promoting services.
You must be enthusiastic, self-motivated and ambitious as well as presentable, with good sales training and a full understanding and appreciation of the sales process.
The right person will have strong commercial sales experience within those areas and be able to provide solutions to clients through their knowledge of international logistics. As well as generating revenue through new customers, you will monitor key accounts to establish any further opportunities for growth.
The right candidate will have a customer focused mentality; self-motivated and driven. You will be required to generate your own leads to pursue, responsible for your own diary and appointments with new customers, as well as being a confident communicator and passionate about your work.
