The Business Development Manager - (Renewables) will be responsible for identifying, developing, and securing new business opportunities in the renewables market, particularly in offshore wind and green energy projects. The role requires a proactive individual with strong industry knowledge, excellent relationship-building skills, and a proven track record in business development.



Key Responsibilities:


Business Growth & Strategy


Develop and implement a business development strategy to expand Navantia UK's presence in the renewables sector.


Identify and pursue new opportunities in offshore wind, floating wind, and other renewable energy markets.


Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including developers, government bodies, and industry partners.


Market & Competitive Analysis


Conduct market research to identify emerging trends, opportunities, and competitor activities in the renewables sector.


Assess potential risks and challenges in the industry, providing strategic insights to senior management.


Collaborate with internal teams to ensure alignment of business development efforts with company capabilities.


Stakeholder Engagement & Partnerships


Represent Navantia UK at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to enhance the company's visibility.


Develop strategic partnerships with clients, suppliers, and government agencies to drive business opportunities.


Lead negotiations for contracts and agreements, ensuring mutually beneficial terms for all parties.


Project Development & Tendering


Work closely with the commercial and procurement teams to develop compelling proposals for renewable energy projects.


Lead the bid process for new contracts, ensuring competitive positioning in tenders.


Support contract negotiations and project initiation to ensure successful execution of awarded projects.

Qualifications



Key Skills & Qualifications:


Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Renewable Energy, or a related field.


Proven track record in business development within the renewables, offshore wind, or energy sector.


Strong understanding of the UK and international renewable energy market, particularly offshore wind.


Excellent networking and relationship-building skills with industry stakeholders.


Strong commercial acumen with experience in contract negotiation and bid management.


Ability to work independently and drive projects from inception to completion.


Excellent communication and presentation skills.
