Remote / On site, with some field-based travel to vet practices and CPC sites
We're looking for a driven, proactive, and commercially minded Business Development Manager (B2B) to join the CPC team. This is a key internal appointment focused on growing our existing customer base, onboarding new veterinary practices, and ensuring exceptional levels of client retention and satisfaction.
In addition to strengthening relationships with our current clients, this role will work closely with the Director of Sales & Client Services to identify new business opportunities--particularly within the independent veterinary sector and across alternative or emerging markets.
What you'll be doing:
Increasing cremation and clinical waste volumes
from existing veterinary customers by identifying growth opportunities and strengthening account relationships
Providing day-to-day account management
and internal support for key veterinary clients, ensuring they feel well-informed and valued
Onboarding new independent and group vet practices
, ensuring a smooth, confident transition into the CPC service offering
Making occasional field visits
to existing and prospective practices to support onboarding, retention, and relationship building
Identifying new business opportunities
, including alternative or underserved markets, and supporting CPC's strategic growth plans
Collaborating closely with the Director of Sales & Client Services
to plan, test, and launch commercial initiatives
Capturing and reporting
on customer feedback, trends, and opportunities using CRM tools and internal reporting structures
Requirements & Experience:
Previous experience within the veterinary industry
A proven track record in relationship building, cross-selling, upselling, and strategic market planning
Strong people management skills, with the ability to motivate and drive performance internally and externally
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
Proficiency in CRM systems and sales performance analytics tools
Desirable:
Qualifications in sales, business, management, marketing, or a related field
