Main Purpose of the Job



The Business Development Manager - Student Recruitment will be responsible for driving student enrolment and institutional revenue growth by establishing and managing strategic partnerships with student recruitment agencies, educational institutions, and training providers. This role will focus on expanding the college's domestic and international market reach, meeting intake targets, and supporting the long-term success of the college through collaborative partner management and business development initiatives.

Key Areas of Responsibility



Strategic Partnerships & Recruitment Growth



Identify, engage, and secure partnerships with new student recruitment agencies and education/training providers, both locally and internationally. Support the achievement of student recruitment targets for each academic intake through effective partner engagement and collaboration. Develop and manage a comprehensive pipeline of partnership opportunities to ensure a steady flow of student enrolment.

Partner Relationship Management



Maintain strong and professional relationships with current recruitment partners to ensure ongoing success and partner retention. Conduct regular meetings, presentations, and training for partners to ensure alignment with college programmes, admissions requirements, and promotional materials. Act as the main liaison between recruitment partners and internal college departments.

Collaboration with Internal Teams



Work closely with admissions, marketing, and programme management teams to ensure a seamless student onboarding experience. Provide input into marketing strategies, ensuring alignment with partner needs and market trends. Coordinate effectively with internal stakeholders to ensure smooth communication and process optimisation.

Market Intelligence & Performance Analysis



Conduct regular market research to identify trends, competitive activity, and new opportunities for business growth. Analyse recruitment data and partner feedback to enhance recruitment strategies and increase conversion rates. Provide regular performance reports and data-driven insights to senior leadership.

Business Development & Representation



Attend education fairs, networking events, and conferences to represent the college and promote its academic programmes. Prepare compelling business proposals and presentations for prospective partners and stakeholders. Negotiate terms and partnership agreements that align with institutional goals while ensuring compliance with internal policies and UK regulatory standards.

Compliance & Quality Assurance



Ensure all recruitment activity is carried out in line with institutional, legal, and ethical standards. Support the development and enforcement of policies and procedures related to student recruitment partnerships. Stay up to date with changes in UK and international education policies affecting recruitment.

Qualifications



Educated to degree level; a postgraduate qualification in Business, Marketing, or Education is desirable. Experience working within UK higher education is highly advantageous.

Previous Experience



A minimum of 3 years of proven business development experience, ideally within the education or recruitment sector. Demonstrated experience in managing recruitment agents and/or partnerships. Strong negotiation, relationship management, and communication skills. Ability to travel domestically and internationally as required.

Working Hours:



Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM
