Job Overview
The Business Development Manager (BDM) will be responsible for driving growth by identifying new business opportunities, building strong client relationships, and expanding existing accounts within the fleet, leasing and corporate sectors. The BDM will play a key role in positioning our services as the go-to solution for fleet repair, refurbishment, and vehicle lifecycle management.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement a business development strategy to increase sales and market share.
Identify and pursue new business opportunities across fleet operators, leasing companies, rental firms, and corporate clients.
Manage and grow relationships with existing customers to maximise account value.
Prepare and deliver sales presentations, tenders, and proposals tailored to client needs.
Work closely with the operations team to ensure service delivery meets client expectations.
Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and industry developments to inform strategy.
Attend networking events, trade shows, and industry meetings to promote the business.
Report on sales performance, pipeline activity, and revenue targets to senior management.
Contribute to marketing campaigns and brand-building initiatives.
Key Skills & Experience
Proven track record in business development within the automotive sector, sales, or account management.
Strong commercial acumen with the ability to negotiate and close deals.
Excellent relationship-building and communication skills.
Self-motivated, target-driven, and results-oriented.
Knowledge of repair/refurbishment processes and fleet lifecycle management (advantageous).
Full UK driving licence (required).
