Who We Are Looking For: Our Ideal Partner

We need more than just a social media manager; we need a strategic partner who is:

A Proven Social Media Strategist:

Demonstrable experience in developing, implementing, and managing successful social media strategies across relevant platforms (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, TikTok) that drive engagement, reach, and achieve business objectives.

A Content Creation Powerhouse:

Skilled in creating compelling, engaging, and platform-appropriate content (text, images, video) that resonates with the Calderdale community.

Deeply Rooted in Calderdale (Essential & Non-Negotiable):

You MUST live and ideally work within Calderdale. A genuine passion for the area, its businesses, events, and community fabric is paramount. You need intrinsic local knowledge.

Analytically Minded:

Able to track, analyze, and interpret social media metrics to measure success, identify trends, and inform future strategy adjustments.

Community Focused:

Excellent at engaging with followers, fostering online community spirit, responding professionally to inquiries, and building relationships.

Entrepreneurial & Committed:

Possesses a proactive, self-starter attitude. Understands the demands of a start-up environment and is willing to invest the necessary time and effort to drive success. You see this as building yourbusiness too.

Creative & Innovative:

Brings fresh ideas for campaigns, content, and community growth initiatives.

Collaborative:

Able to work effectively with the existing team/partner(s) and potentially external collaborators (e.g., PR).

Key Responsibilities:

Develop, implement, and continuously refine the comprehensive social media strategy for Calderdale Uncovered. Create, schedule, and publish high-quality, engaging content across all relevant social media channels. Manage day-to-day activity across platforms, including monitoring engagement, responding to comments/messages, and fostering community interaction. Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs); prepare regular reports on social media performance and provide actionable insights. Stay ahead of social media trends, platform updates, and competitor activities to ensure our strategy remains effective and innovative. Collaborate on integrated marketing and PR efforts to ensure brand consistency. Identify and potentially manage relationships with local influencers or brand advocates. Actively contribute to the overall business strategy and growth discussions as a partner.

Compensation:

Equity Stake + Profit Share (Details to be discussed and agreed upon based on experience and commitment level). This is NOT a salaried position.

Do you currently live within the Calderdale borough? (Yes/No - Applications not meeting this criterion cannot be considered)

Preferred Education/Experience:

GCSE or equivalent (Minimum) Demonstrable experience and a strong portfolio in social media management and strategy are highly valued.

Location:

Hybrid remote based in Calderdale (Physical presence required for local engagement, meetings, and content gathering as needed). Our nominal base is Hebden Bridge HX7 5QF.
