About the Post:




Post 1 - Children looked After (CLA) Team - Based in Westgate, Barnsley




This post requires a Basic Criminal Record Check




Prospective employees will be required to give a reasonable account of any significant periods (6 months or more in the past 3 years) of time living abroad.



You will support the service in all areas of business, your general duties will include:


Monitoring and actioning of e-mails for 4 mailboxes.

Finance, including PRP Finance.

Send CLA invites for SW/IRO meetings for Children Looked After.

Send out distribution of chair reports.

Deal with e-post.

Desktop checks - 20 / 10 day chase / CLA invite log check.

Calendar / IRO blocks and uploading of consultations forms for CLA meetings.

Request for interpreters to translate chairs report as and when required.

Arrange and attendance at meetings face to face and virtual to take minutes



Post 2 - Districts Team - Based at Wombwell Police Station, Worsborough and Cudworth Lift Buildings.

An enhanced DBS and Police Vetting Security Check will be required for clearance to work in Wombwell.

This post requires a Police Vetting Check




Prospective employees will be required to apply for a Police Vetting Check, Please note that this doesn't supersede the DBS check. Recruitment Vetting provides the Police service with an assurance as to the integrity and reliability of persons seeking employment within the police community.


Duties will include


You will act as the first point of contact for all external enquiries coming into the 'Integrated Front Door' of the service by phone or emails to inbox.

Processing all referrals for services giving due regard to immediacy and priority. Assist with Subject Access Requests

Operation Encompass Process within Mosaic all documentation and correspondence to support services and maintain the child's social care record and also Identify children, retrieve child's record on Mosaic and email to Social Worker

What will you need?





You will hold a level 2 qualification, have a business support background or a keen interest in developing within this area. Applicants should be aware that there may be exposure to emotionally charged information in connection with vulnerable children/adults and a level of personal resilience is required. Support is provided via regular one to one meetings and de-briefings.



You will be flexible in your approach to ensure the overall service objectives are achieved, be an excellent team player, have a 'can do' attitude and willing to make a solid contribution to the smooth running of the service.
