Overview


We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Business Analyst to join our logistics and supply chain team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in analysing and improving business processes related to transportation management, warehousing, and materials handling. This role offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to operational efficiencies through data analysis, process optimisation, and system integration. The Business Analyst will collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance overall supply chain performance, utilising a range of specialised systems and tools.

Responsibilities



Analyse current supply chain processes, including shipping & receiving, warehouse management, and materials handling, identifying areas for improvement. Support the optimisation of category management strategies and process improvement initiatives within logistics operations. Utilise transportation management systems (TMS), warehouse management systems (WMS), ERP systems, and AS400 platforms to gather data and generate actionable insights. Collaborate with 3PL providers to streamline logistics operations and improve service levels. Assist in the implementation and integration of ERP systems related to supply chain activities. Conduct data analysis to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as shipping accuracy, inventory levels, and order fulfilment rates. Support shipping & packing operations by analysing workflow efficiencies and recommending enhancements. Contribute to safety initiatives by understanding warehouse experience requirements such as forklift operation and materials handling procedures. Prepare reports and presentations for management to facilitate informed decision-making regarding logistics strategies.

Requirements



Proven experience in logistics, supply chain management or warehouse operations with a strong understanding of category management, process improvement, and logistics optimisation. Familiarity with transportation management systems (TMS), warehouse management systems (WMS), ERP platforms, including AS400. Knowledge of 3PL arrangements, shipping & receiving processes, and materials handling techniques. Experience with data analysis skills to interpret complex datasets and generate insights for operational improvements. Warehouse experience including picking & packing procedures; forklift certification is advantageous but not essential. Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines. Excellent communication skills for collaborating across departments and presenting findings clearly.
