Overview

Bespoke Upholstery London is an established company that produce bespoke soft furnishing and bespoke joinery. We work with a number of high end interior designers nationwide and are based in Wimbledon, London.

Due to demand we are looking to expand our team and welcome an experienced joiner / cabinet maker.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in woodworking and a passion for creating highend cabinetry. This role involves the fabrication and assembly of cabinets, ensuring that all pieces meet the required specifications and standards. The Cabinet Maker will work closely with designers and clients to bring their visions to life while maintaining a focus on craftsmanship and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

Fabricate and assemble cabinets using various materials, ensuring precision and quality in every piece. Assist design visit with the client and measure the designated area. Be able to work as part of team ensuring to meet deadlines. Utilise hand tools and power tools effectively for cutting, shaping, and finishing wood components. Perform joinery techniques to create strong, durable connections between cabinet parts. Collaborate with team members to interpret design plans and specifications accurately. Maintain a clean and organised workspace, adhering to safety protocols at all times. Assist in heavy lifting of materials and completed cabinets as required. Engage in additional construction tasks such as roofing, plumbing, masonry, or electrical work when necessary.

Qualifications

Proven experience in cabinet making or a related field, demonstrating strong fabrication and assembly skills. Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools specific to woodworking. Solid understanding of carpentry principles and joinery techniques. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently. Experience with construction painting is an advantage. Knowledge of plumbing or electrical systems is beneficial but not essential. Strong attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
