We are seeking a motivated, experienced, and hands-on Senior Manager & Kitchen Lead to take a central role in the day-to-day running of our cafe. This is a hybrid role for someone who thrives both in the kitchen and on the shop floor -- balancing sandwich prep, barista work, and leadership responsibilities. You'll be at the heart of our food and coffee offering, with the opportunity to shape our menu and contribute to the growth of the business.
Key Responsibilities
Kitchen & Menu Development
o
Lead the daily sandwich prep, ensuring high standards of quality, freshness, and presentation.
Develop and test new sandwich recipes in line with seasonal trends and customer preferences.
Ensure all food preparation areas and equipment are clean, hygienic, and compliant with food safety standards.
Manage allergen information and labelling accurately.
Barista Duties
Confidently prepare and serve specialty coffee to a high standard, ensuring consistency and quality.
Maintain coffee equipment and uphold cleanliness and workflow efficiency behind the bar.
Senior Management

Oversee daily operations, ensuring a smooth workflow across kitchen, barista, and front-of-house teams.
Lead, train, and support staff, fostering a positive and professional working environment.
Take initiative in problem-solving and making decisions to improve efficiency and customer satisfaction.
Contribute ideas to improve service, layout, menu, and customer experience.
Stock & Ordering

Monitor kitchen and coffee stock levels, placing timely orders and managing supplier relationships.
Keep accurate records of inventory, waste, and usage trends to reduce costs and maintain margins.
Manage food and drink margins in collaboration with the owner.
Business Support & Reporting

Assist with rota planning, holiday cover, and shift structures.
Track sales data and performance metrics related to food and drink items.
Support the owner in achieving monthly and quarterly business goals.
