We are seeking a friendly and efficient Cafe Assistant to join our team. Responsibilities

Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialised drinks, adhering to quality standards. Assist with food preparation tasks such as assembling sandwiches, salads, and other light snacks. Serve customers at the counter or table, providing friendly and attentive service. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the cafe area, including cleaning tables, counters, and equipment. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards at all times. Manage cash registers accurately, handling transactions efficiently. Restock supplies as needed to ensure smooth operation during shifts. Support team members during busy periods to deliver a seamless customer experience.

Requirements

Previous barista experience or serving experience is desirable but not essential; training will be provided. Knowledge of food safety standards is important to ensure compliance with health regulations. Basic maths skills for handling cash transactions accurately. Strong organisational skills with excellent time management to prioritise tasks effectively. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Friendly demeanour with excellent communication skills to engage positively with customers. Flexibility to work during peak hours, including weekends if required.
