We are seeking a friendly and efficient Cafe Assistant to join our vibrant team. Responsibilities

Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including speciality coffees, ensuring consistency and quality. Assist with food preparation tasks such as assembling sandwiches, salads, and baked goods in accordance with health and safety standards. Serve customers at the counter or table, taking orders accurately and efficiently. Maintain cleanliness of workstations, dining areas, and equipment to uphold hygiene standards. Handle cash transactions accurately using the till system, providing correct change and receipts. Restock supplies as needed throughout shifts to ensure smooth service operation. Follow food safety procedures at all times, including proper storage and handling of ingredients. Support team members during busy periods to ensure prompt service and customer satisfaction.

Skills

Knowledge of food safety standards and practices within a cafe environment. Barista experience is desirable but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate. Experience in serving customers with professionalism and friendliness. Basic food preparation skills to assist with light kitchen tasks. Good organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently. Basic maths skills for handling cash transactions accurately. Excellent time management skills to prioritise duties effectively during busy periods. Strong communication skills to interact positively with customers and team members. Pay: Up to 12.21 per hour
