Job Summary

We are seeking a friendly and efficient Cafe Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, preparing and serving food and beverages, and maintaining a clean and welcoming environment. Responsibilities

Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and speciality drinks, ensuring quality standards are met. Assist customers with their orders in a courteous and professional manner. Handle food preparation tasks such as assembling sandwiches, salads, or other light snacks. Maintain cleanliness of the cafe area, including tables, counters, kitchen spaces, and equipment. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations at all times. Manage cash register operations accurately using basic maths skills. Restock supplies as needed to ensure smooth operation throughout shifts. Manage time effectively to serve customers promptly during busy periods. Follow health and safety guidelines diligently to create a safe environment for staff and customers.

Qualifications

Previous barista experience or background in serving food and beverages is desirable but not essential; training will be provided. Knowledge of food safety standards is advantageous. Basic maths skills for handling cash transactions accurately. Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage time efficiently during peak hours. Excellent communication skills with a friendly attitude towards customers. Ability to work well within a team and independently when required. A proactive approach to maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards in line with health regulations. Pay: 12.21-14.62 per hour
