We are the pink little cafe in Wells-Next-The-Sea, right on the quay and hard to miss! Our friendly team deliver great food and great customer service all year round to locals and visitors.

We are currently looking for a permanent cafe assistant who has an interest in working on our food station as a junior chef. Someone with great customer service skills and who can work well under pressure at a busy cafe. The perfect candidate will have the ability to work as part of a team and be proactive; be friendly, positive and efficient; and most importantly, have passion for food.

The Role

As a junior chef, you will be trained at our food station, working alongside our existing chefs and on your own, producing and delivering our menu to a high standard every time. We are looking for someone with a passion for food, who is full of energy to work at a fast paced environment. Being able to multitask is essential in this role.

Other responsibilities will include operating the till, making smoothies & milkshakes, washing up, doing stock checks as well as helping with the daily cleaning at the end of the day. You will also be trained to make barista style coffee.

What experience do you need?

Previous experience making food in a similar environment is preferable.

You must be able to work weekdays and weekends.

You'll be working 3-5 days per week and will include either Saturday or Sunday. Fixed working days can be agreed in advance. Working hours are 8:45am to 5pm (give or take) but there might be some 5 hours shifts, especially on quieter months.

You'll have all your evenings free!!
