Blackberry Farm Park is a family-run business in Lewes. We are a children's activity farm, and our goal is to ensure all of our customers have a fun-filled family day out.

Responsibilities:

Food preparation and cooking, including hot meals, snacks, and baked items Take customer orders and handle cash transactions Serve food and beverages to customers Make barista-style coffees Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the cafe, including kitchen and prep areas Ensure compliance with all food hygiene and safety regulations Monitor food stock levels and assist with stock rotation and waste reduction Take ownership of kitchen operations during assigned shifts, including opening and closing procedures Maintain consistent food quality and portion control Support menu development with ideas for seasonal or special offerings Report equipment issues and ensure proper maintenance of kitchen appliances Provide excellent customer service and address customer inquiries or concerns Assist with inventory management and restocking supplies Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth daily operations

Qualifications:

Basic math skills for cash handling and inventory management Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritise tasks effectively Knowledge of food safety procedures and regulations (Level 2 Food Hygiene preferred, but training can be provided) Strong time management skills to ensure timely service Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with customers and team members Prior experience in a kitchen or cafe environment is desirable

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 10.00-13.00 per hour
