The vision of the Cafe is to offer:
Good Food: Serving healthy, affordable, local and seasonal food. Built on the foundation of the well sourced produce grown at Cantraybridge.
Learning: Our students and volunteers are the heart of the Cafe. They are invested in with regards to training, new skills and the space to learn.
Community: At the centre is the community, for whom we provide a safe, comfortable and welcoming space to visit and meet and learn more about our goals and aims.
The Cafe Enabler's job is to manage and develop the cafe and shop sales within Cantraybridge whilst developing young people with additional support needs in key hospitality skills.
The Cafe Enabler's responsibilities extend to the delivery of the students' training needs in tasks related to the cafe activities. The Cafe Enabler will also be responsible for representing Cantraybridge at external events and to present the work of Cantraybridge to guests on campus.
As Cafe Enabler, you will:
Manage the successful operation of the Cafe to create a welcoming environment for all. Ensure that the Cafe offers a healthy, affordable and quality menu utilising grown produce from the college. And you will support and develop initiatives to build awareness of the work of Cantraybridge College, in line with the College's strategic vision, as set by the Board.
Please note that due to the remoteness of the campus, a car/driving licence is necessary as there is no public transport nearby.
