Title: Full Time Food and Beverage General Manager



Salary: 32,000 - 35,000 per annum



Hours: 40 hours per week - fully flexible and available for weekends



Location: Totally Delicious Tearooms - Trentham Estate



Reporting to: Site Manager

General Manager (GM)

Day to Day running of a busy Tearooms is first and foremost yet we are always keen to hear about new ideas and for you to add touches of your personality to Totally Delicious plus ensuring your Team and customers have the best day, every day.

Also, as General Manager, you will set the standard and lead by example; hence a great eye for detail is an absolute must. You will strive to motivate and lead the team forward with passion and commitment to provide excellent customer service with a hands-on approach.

This role is essential for creating an exceptional customer experience and driving business growth.

This role is based in Totally Delicious Tearooms which is in The Italian Gardens, Trentham Estate.

As a Totally Delicious General Manager you'll:

Lead, motivate and inspire the Team and Supervisors Excellent customer service Support the management team in effectively running the daily operation Supporting the Site Manager in leading day-to-day operations across the site Coaching and motivating the team to deliver outstanding service Managing shift performance, from pre-service briefs to closing checks Handling ordering, stock rotation, and supplier coordination Ensure team have clear objectives Ensuring all daily tasks are completed Upholding standards and cleanliness throughout the site Support management with training of the team to the legal requirements of Health and Safety Show a positive attitude Introduce business solutions and ideas - we love listening and implementing positivity

Duties and Responsibilities:



Operational Management



Assist in the overseeing of day-to-day operations, ensuring smooth functioning of the coffee shop.

Be responsible for the preparation and presentation of food and beverage to meet quality standards.

Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) to enhance efficiency.

Assist in managing inventory, ordering, and stock control to meet customer demand.

Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, sanitary practices, and food handling standards.

Mange cash register, safe and transaction accurately, including opening and closing procedures.



Customer Service



Foster and create a welcoming and friendly atmosphere for customers, ensuring their satisfaction.

Ensure exceptional customer service is provided by all staff members.

Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and requests in a professional manner.

Quality Control



Maintain the highest standards for food and drink while ensuring company specs are followed by all staff members.

Conduct regular quality checks to identify and address and issues promptly.

Administrative Tasks



Assist in administrative duties, such as rota scheduling, payroll, and reporting.

Maintaining accurate records of sales, inventory, and employee performance.

Monitor sales performance and set targets to maximize revenue, identify trends and suggest improvements to your line manager.

Collaborate with the marketing team to implement promotional campaigns and initiatives.

Financial Management



Monitor financial performance and implement cost control measures.

Analyse financial reports and take appropriate actions to improve profitability.

Quality Assurance



Ensure the quality and consistency of all F&B served

Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards throughout

Conduct regular inspections to identify areas for improvement and implement necessary changes

Staff Management



Assist in scheduling and organise shifts to ensure adequate coverage during peak hours if required by your line manager.

Provide ongoing coaching and performance feedback to staff members.

Qualifications and Skills



At least 1 years' experience in hospitality management.

Proven experience as a General Manager or in a similar leadership role in the food and beverage industry.

Strong leadership and team management skills.

Excellent communication and interpretation skills

Sound knowledge of hospitality operations, including barista skills some food preparation skills.

Ability to work under pressure and handle challenging situations.

Strong business acumen and financial management skills.

Familiar with POS systems, inventory management, and Microsoft Office Suite.

Qualifications and Must Haves



Previous experience in a F&B or hospitality setting is essential Strong communication skills with the ability to engage positively with customers A team player who can work collaboratively in a busy environment Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays as needed A passion for helping others and providing excellent service
