Highfurlong School is a 2 - 19 Special School Academy in Blackpool with 131 pupils on roll, with a wide range of physical and medical needs and severe and complex learning difficulties. We are an Outstanding School, and we are keen to recruit a Cafe Lead who can uphold our high standards and expectations and support us in our journey to improve every day.
We are seeking to appoint a Cafe Lead to operationally manage our new cafe at Highfurlong School and support young adults with learning disabilities in a learning workplace enterprise. Highfurlong School is a four times Outstanding special school in Blackpool, providing education for pupils aged 2-19 years with a wide range of special educational needs. Our state of the art facilities provide education to nursery, primary, secondary and post 16 children and young people. With approximately 131 pupils on roll and a growing school, our 'child first' ethos underpins everything that we do. Through all areas of our work we strive to inspire our pupils, challenge them to be the best that they can be and believe in them.
Role Purpose:
To organise, operate and supervise the catering establishment in accordance with the standards required of the School and those imposed by statute
To ensure that an efficient and economic use is made of all resources and that the highest standards of service are provided within budgetary parameters
To administer controls, to keep records and work to the policy guidance of the School
To be responsible for the preparation, cooking and service of food and drinks as required
