Job Overview


We are seeking an experienced and passionate Cafe Manager to oversee the daily operations of our cafe. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a background in hospitality, ensuring a welcoming environment for both staff and customers. This role requires a hands-on approach to managing food preparation, maintaining food safety standards, and supervising a dedicated team. The Cafe Manager will play a pivotal role in enhancing customer satisfaction while driving the cafe's success.

Duties



Operational Management:



Greet customers warmly, take orders accurately, and respond to customer needs promptly. Prepare and serve a variety of drinks using a barista machine and food according to procedures and ensuring food safety and hygiene standards are met. Operate the cash register, process payments, and provide correct change. Check and put away deliveries. Keep the cafe equipment and environment clean and orderly.

Staff Leadership:



Lead, motivate, and manage a small team of staff and volunteers. Responsible for training and performance management. Foster a positive team culture that promotes collaboration and high morale. Schedule shifts and manage time-off requests

Customer Experience:



Provide excellent customer service, ensuring every customer has a positive and memorable experience and model excellent customer service practices and inspire the team to do the same. Address customer concerns and complaints.

Inventory Management:



Manage inventory cost effectively including records, levels of coffee, food, and other supplies and place orders with approved suppliers.

Financial Management:



Ensure cafe is operating within its approved budget and meets its financial targets.

Health & Safety Compliance:



Ensure the cafe complies with all health, safety, and hygiene regulations and ensure all records are kept up to date.

Marketing & Promotion:



Collaborate with colleagues to promote the cafe through social media, events, and seasonal promotions.
To undertake such other tasks as may be required by the Chief Executive Officer.

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: 11,860.00 per year

Expected hours: No less than 16.5 per week
