Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Cafe Manager to oversee the daily operations of our cafe. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a passion for hospitality, ensuring that our team delivers exceptional service while maintaining high standards of food safety and quality. As the Cafe Manager, you will be responsible for managing staff, supervising food production, and creating a welcoming environment for our guests.

Duties

Lead and manage a team of cafe staff, fostering a positive work environment and encouraging professional development. Supervise daily operations, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to food safety regulations. Oversee food production processes, maintaining high standards of quality and presentation. Develop and implement training programmes for new employees in areas such as customer service, food handling, and cafe procedures. Manage inventory levels, placing orders as necessary to ensure the cafe is well-stocked with supplies. Create staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage during peak hours while managing labour costs effectively. Handle customer inquiries and complaints with professionalism, striving to enhance guest satisfaction. Collaborate with culinary staff to develop seasonal menus that reflect current trends and customer preferences. Monitor financial performance and assist in budgeting processes to achieve profitability targets.

Qualifications

Proven experience in a managerial role within the hospitality industry, preferably in cafes or restaurants. Strong team management skills with the ability to motivate and lead a diverse group of individuals. Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in food production. Excellent supervisory skills with experience in training staff in both operational procedures and customer service excellence. Background in bartending or culinary arts is advantageous but not essential. Exceptional communication skills with a focus on providing outstanding hospitality experiences. Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as required by the business needs.

Pay: 30,000.00-35,000.00 per year
