Overview

We are seeking an experienced, dedicated and passionate Cafe Manager to oversee the daily running of our brand new cafe. This is an opportunity to be a fundamental part of an exciting new venture from the very beginning (it is still being built!).

You must be able to show management experience in a hospitality setting. You will be responsible for all staffing aspects and, most importantly, for the service, the quality of the food and the overall customer experience.

Responsibilities

Lead, manage, train and mentor the cafe team, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment. Use of initiative, quality control and customer service skills to ensure a first rate customer experience.
Oversee all daily operations, including

staff rotas and all human resource matters. ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations. monitor stock levels and place orders to ensure the cafe is well-stocked at all times. collaborate with the kitchen team to maintain high standards of food production and presentation. identify growth potential. Liaise with management and take a proactive role in shaping the direction of the cafe.

Requirements

Managerial role within a cafe or restaurant environment demonstrating experience in: all aspects of staff management including rotas and optimisation of staff hours. a passion for customer service and nurturing strong relationships with customers. Strong communication and people skills to create a positive work environment. Kitchen experience would be preferable. First Aid and Food Safety and Hygiene certification would be preferable, but can be provided.

Anticipated opening hours: 8am to 3pm. Open daily.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: From 14.50 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
