Overview

We are seeking a friendly and efficient Cafe Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about providing excellent customer service and maintaining high standards of food safety. Duties

Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and speciality drinks, adhering to recipes and presentation standards. Assist customers with their orders in a courteous and professional manner. Handle food preparation tasks such as assembling sandwiches, salads, and other light snacks. Maintain cleanliness of workstations, equipment, and dining areas in accordance with food safety regulations. Manage cash register operations, including processing payments accurately using cash or card systems. Restock supplies and ensure the cafe remains organised throughout the shift. Follow health and safety procedures diligently to ensure a safe environment for staff and customers. Support team members during busy periods to ensure smooth service delivery.

Skills

Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in hygiene. Previous barista experience is desirable but not essential; training will be provided. Experience in serving customers efficiently with excellent interpersonal skills. Basic food preparation skills with attention to detail. Good organisational skills to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Basic maths skills for handling transactions accurately. Strong time management abilities to prioritise tasks during busy periods. Ability to work well within a team and adapt quickly to changing demands.
