Job Title: Calibration Engineer
Location: Dalston, Cumbria
Working pattern: Monday-Friday - Days based role - 38hrs/wk.
Salary: Circa 45,000+ depending on experience + potential 8% annual bonus + generous pension scheme + 12 flexible days on top of 25-day holiday entitlement + 2 paid volunteering days + other fantastic benefits!

Position Summary
We have an exciting opportunity for a Calibration Engineer to join our Engineering team reporting to the Instrumentation Duty holder, ensures instruments, equipment and systems provide accurate and reliable measurements by performing calibration maintenance and trouble shooting according to industry standards.
Nestle Dalston Factory in Cumbria is the European Centre for cappuccino and creamers producing a range of beverage products. These are produced through a highly automated PLC controlled process plant and automated filling and packing lines. Dalston is continually developing and expanding leading brands such as Nescafe, Aero Hot Chocolate and Coffeemate.
Impact
As the Calibration Engineer at Dalston you will be expected to

• Maintain and accurately track instruments through their lifecycle, from procurement, installation and commissioning through to repair, decommissioning and disposal.
• Play an integral role in a multi-functional team, responding to high-pressure
• breakdown scenarios, acting swiftly and safely to minimise downtime and maximise performance of assets.
• Ensure compliance through maintaining completeness of data within the instrument database and continuously review and develop, procedures and technical documentation.
• Responsible for autonomous planning and execution of calibrations, working closely with Maintenance Planners to guarantee meticulous and timely executions in accordance with metrology standards.
• Maintain precise records using advanced digital calibration management software which integrates seamlessly with the calibrators and reference equipment.

Ingredients for Success

• Educated to NVQ level 3 or equivalent in Engineering or equivalent apprenticeship - Essential
• Have a proven track record to demonstrate capability in calibration of instruments. - Essential
• Exposure to PLC system software - Essential
• Previously worked in ATEX regulated environment would be beneficial.
