CrC (London) Limited are looking for applicants to fill an exciting role in our Pocket Geek Tech Repair call centre in Farringdon, with limited availability for working from home.
Pocket Geek Tech Repair is a network owned by Assurant, one of the world's largest insurance companies that is on the Fortune 500. Our goal with this network is to provide the highest quality repairs and service to both Assurant's insurance clients as well as to the public. Currently we have 27 Pocket Geek Tech Repair stores in the UK, and we service hundreds of thousands of clients every year. Assurant also owns the UK repair chain iSmash, with 35 locations.
A successful applicant would be taking part in the Front of House operation of the store. This includes:
- Taking over store landlines during busy periods
- Taking on leads from our website and social media, to convert them into repairs/sales
- Contacting insurance clients as their claims are logged to start their repair journey, and keep up with them throughout
- Logging client details and creating/updating repair and sale tickets
- Setting customer expectations for service times, and providing support and empathy to customers
- Updating customers via software and/or calls and emails
- Arranging payments and up-selling devices and device accessories
This role involves tasks such as:
- Logging onto Assurant's live system to update the status of repairs
- Quality Checking and diagnosing device issues over phone/email communications for customers
- Liaising with Front of House, Engineer, Admin and Management teams and working together to ensure that business operations run smoothly
- Listening to customer needs and pointing them in the right direction to Software or Hardware Repairs, Device Sales or Accessory Sales
If you have an interest in Sales and Service in a Tech-centred environment, this may be the job for you. Some experience is required in Sales and Service; Staff members receive Assurant official training and will have access to our knowledge base here at CrC. Ideally candidates have good knowledge of the workings of smartphones and computers.
Typical requirements for this role are:
- 4/C in English, IT and Maths GCSE
- Significant personal experience with IT equipment and software, as most of the duties takes place on computers (Documents/Spreadsheets/Operating Systems)
- Previous work experience in any related role
The ability to work in a fast-paced environment with medium risk tolerance will be essential as you will be dealing with high-value devices, and data which is priceless to our clients.
Starting Salary is 13.50PH for all ages alongside a 3-month probation, this is renegotiated afterwards. Commission is also paid for successful customer conversions and high performance, with no upper or lower limits.
Our successful team members currently earn up to 5k/annum in commission.
Working week consists of 5 days/week, working 8-hour shifts including an unpaid 1-hour break. Totalling 35 paid hours/week. We do have some flexibility available depending on employee needs. Our open hours are 09:00 - 18:00 Monday - Sunday, subject to operations. Overtime is available but discretionary.
