Eastfield Residential Home is a small, homely service supporting up to 25 residents who have mental health conditions.
We are recruiting for a full time Team Leader up to 36 hours per week to manage and support care workers so they can perform their roles safely and to the best of their ability. Hourly pay will reflect training and experience.
Role overview
Supporting your manager to run your workplace according to standards and legislation
Administering medications
Completing weekly medication audits
Weekly file audits
Any other audits and Quality Assurance
Risk assessment production and updates
Care plan production and updates
Oversee security checks and toilet support
Repositioning and other care needs
Supervising care Assistants
Partake in meetings to develop the service, create solutions to problems and be a key player in continuous improvement
Any other tasks as necessary.
We require candidates who
:
Have experience in a Team Leader or Senior Role
Work well in a team or alone.
Who prioritise our residents and their needs.
Can document comprehensively and accurately.
Have effective communication skills.
Have supervisory and team leading skills
The ability to deal with conflict
Good English skills to understand and apply policies and procedures in practice.
Skills Required:
Essential
Previous experience in care (Team Leader or Senior)
A demonstratable ability to deliver person centered care.
Behave ethically, be a strong and visible role model to all employees.
Desirable but not essential as training will be provided
Understanding and experience of mental capacity and consent
A demonstratable understanding and experience in adult safeguarding
To demonstrate a willingness for further training and development for self and others
An understanding of relevant legislation
Experience in supervising staff on shift
Experience in coordinating a care shift
Experience in supporting staff Rota management
